Upright post houses, also known as Lusatian, are examples of folk architecture in the border region of Poland, Germany, and the Czech Republic. In recent years, initiatives have emerged aimed at preserving and promoting this type of architecture, such as the "Land of Upright Post Houses" project. The association "Dom Kołodzieja" (Potter's House) from Zgorzelec also works to preserve and popularize these houses by organizing an annual Open Day of Upright Post Houses, during which one can visit private, restored, and inhabited upright post houses, as well as obtain information on grants for the renovation or construction of new upright post houses.
